I don't know anything about that drug, but being totally ignorant of a subject has never stopped me from writing about it . I googled it after I read your posting, and it looks sort of versatile, as though it could become widely used in neurological ailments. Hello all!
I am a caregiver to a delightful young lady (51) who resides in a nursing home in the DFW area. She was dx'd with Marfan Syndrome while in High School; which, BTW, lead to her mother finally getting properly dx'd with the same thing! As her body degenerated from that she continued to live her life as best she could... had a career, friends, animals and a great social life! Then few years ago she was told she has OPCA and she quickly lost a lot of the abilities...

Hi, Jim from Mandeville (New Orleans). MY GP, who returned home to eastern Canada about a year after Katrina - Ronald Eliosoff, the best doc I have ever had - put me on Cymbalta for depression increase and for PN. Worked really well for both, not miracles, but a huge difference. He then tried me on Lyrica for the remaining PN. Lyrica did nothing for the PN but it made a world of difference in reducing the writhing of my large muscle groups, esp my legs. Best relief was 200 mg three times...

hiya my mum was only diagnosed with having opca about three years ago, since 1979 she was told she had M.S. Mum is getting really bad tingly sensations along the front of her lower legs. The doctor on call came out tonight and has increased her lyrica, she now has to take 50mg in the morning and afternoon then 100mg at night. I really hope this helps but your comment gave me a little bit more hope .... thank you

I take Lyrica for this. I was at 50mg 3 times a day, but recently got bumped up to 75 mg. Works great for me!

I just came back fom getting some stitches out. Anyway I mentioned my peripheral neuropathy in my feet and legs. The doc said try Vitaman B6. So........I'm trying it and we'll see.
